My First Lauren Daigle Concert!
Lauren Daigle - Kaleidoscope Tour
How It Came About
For Christmas my dad bought me, my mom, and my sister vip tickets to see Lauren Daigle’s kaleidoscope tour on June 6th, 2024 at Rupp Arena. We were excited and not really sure what to expect, considering it would be my sister’s and my first big concert. I thought it was a great idea because her music is super uplifitng and her voice is absolutely amazing. I’ve enjoyed listening to her music for the past few years, and I was really excited to get to see and hear her music in a whole new way.
How the VIP Worked
People that had VIP pass were required to get there earlier. When we got there we all waited in line and got swag bags. There was different tiers of Vip so some people got different things. We had the second best. Our swag bag included a cd of her newest album. We then walked inside and got earlier access to the merchandise and got to take pictures inside of the yarn cave. After that, everyone waited for them to open the doors to the Q and A. While we were in line we could hear her practicing Turbulant Skies. It was cool already getting to hear that before anything had really even started. Then the doors opened and we walked down to the Q and A.
What was the Q and A Actually Like?
We walked down the steps and took our seats. Before she came out they had people with ipads walking around and asking people if they had any questions that they wanted her to answer. A lady came up to us and my mom asked how fame has changed her relationship with Christ. After probably about 20 minutes Lauren came out and said hello to everyone and accepted a gift from a special needs girl and said that she was beautiful and was so thankful for her gift and gave her a hug. It was really sweet and set a positive tone to the night. She then began singing a less popular song that I had never heard before. After she got done singing she started answering questions. It was a special and intimate experience. She took her time to interact with the audience, answering questions fans had about her music, personal journey, faith, and her inspiration to do what she does. When answrring everyones questions she is very open and sincere. She shares stories of her life, the meaning behind her songs, and gives advice and words of encouragement. It’s a great oppertunity for fans to connect with her on a deeper level and feel more involved in the concert experience. The questions can range from light- hearted and fun to deep and personal. Lauren handles them all with grace making everyone feel appreciated and heard. When she answered my Mom’s question she talked dirtectly to her and took multiple minutes to answer it. We all had a wonderful experince with the Q and A, it was a lot better than we had anticipated.
