100 Things to Do Before You Graduate
High school goes ridiculously fast. You don't need to have the βperfectβ high school experience, but there are definitely memories worth making before you walk across that graduation stage. Start checking them off.
This isn't a checklist for having a βperfectβ high school life.
Your four years do not need to look like a movie. You don't need to be popular, go to every party, date someone, or have one giant friend group for high school to be memorable.
This list is really about saying yes to more little moments: dressing up for spirit week, staying late after a game with your friends, taking ridiculous pictures, trying something new, and making memories you'll randomly think about five years from now.
Check off what sounds fun, ignore what doesn't, and make this bucket list your own.
β If You Only Do 6 Things...
These are the ones we'd put at the top of the list.
Make the Friend Memories
The random hangouts usually become the stories you remember most.
Actually Participate in School Spirit
You might feel silly for five minutes. Then everybody else starts doing it too.
Make the Ordinary Days Memorable
Not every favorite memory happens at some giant event.
Take more pictures of the normal days.
Graduation pictures are great. But one day you might miss the blurry lunch-table picture, the parking lot conversations, and the random Tuesday that didn't seem important at the time.
Try Something You've Never Done
You don't have to become amazing at it. Just try.
Make Each Season Feel Different
School years are basically measured in seasons anyway.
Take the Pictures You'll Want Later
Not everything needs to be perfect enough to post.
Do a Few Things Just for You
Growing up is part of the bucket list too.
Senior Year Must-Dos
The year everyone says goes fast somehow goes even faster.
Before You Walk Across the Stage
The sentimental section. Sorry in advance.
Random Things You'll Be Glad You Did
The final ten are just here to make high school a little more fun.
High School Bucket List Questions
What should be on a high school bucket list?
A good high school bucket list should include a mix of friend memories, school traditions, new experiences, personal goals, seasonal activities, senior-year moments, and things you'll want to remember after graduation.
What should I do before graduating high school?
Take pictures of normal school days, attend at least a few school events, try something outside your comfort zone, thank the people who helped you, spend intentional time with your friends, and save a few physical memories from your high school years.
What are fun senior-year bucket list ideas?
Senior pictures, your final homecoming, prom if you want to go, senior traditions, signing yearbooks, recreating old photos, making a senior playlist, visiting your favorite school spots, and having one final big friend-group day are all great choices.
Do I need to complete all 100 ideas?
Definitely not. High school looks different for everybody. Use this list as inspiration, skip anything that doesn't fit you, and add your own ideas along the way.
Don't spend all four years waiting for the βgood part.β
The good part might be the football game, but it might also be laughing in the car after school, sitting at the same lunch table every day, or doing something completely random with people you love. Make the memories while you're actually in them.
